In today’s tutorial you will learn how to make a crochet gift card holder and it is a QUICK crochet Christmas gift! Even if it’s not Christmastime, you can make this crochet gift card holder for any birthday or holiday. Just use their favorite color!

Abbreviations used:

*All Sigoni Macaroni patterns are written in standard US terms *

  • Ch – chain
  • Dc – double crochet
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Sl st – slip stitch

  • Approx 3 inches wide x 5 inches tall

Notes

  • Instead of cutting your yarn at each color change, carry it up as you go. They won’t be looking on the inside!

Crochet Gift Card Holder Free Crochet Pattern

Using Berry,

Row 1: Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 8 ch, 3sc next ch (working on other side of foundation ch), sc next 8 ch, 2sc last ch. Sl st to join (22)

Rows 2-6: Ch 1, sc each st around. Sl st to  join (22)

Switch to Dark Gray

Rows 7-9: Ch 1, sc each st around. Sl st to join

Switch to Berry

Rows 10-14: Ch 1, sc each st around. Sl st to join

Switch to Natural

Rows 15-17: Ch 2, dc each st around. Sl st to join (22)

Tie off, weave in ends

Use tapestry needle to sew yellow buckle on top of Dark Gray “belt”. Weave in all ends.

With Kelly Green (or any color you choose for the drawstring), ch 70, tie off. Using tapestry needle, weave in and out between every dc in the middle row of dc.
