Crochet Santa Hat Wine Topper | Free Crochet Pattern

Today’s free pattern isn’t a gift idea in and of itself, but if you’re giving the gift of wine this Christmas, it will sure make it festive! This crochet Santa Hat Wine Topper is so cute and doesn’t require much yarn. This crochet Christmas bottle topper is a great way to make a simple gift more fun and unique!

The wine bottle I designed this wine topper for is about 10 inches around and 17 inches tall, but it’s easily customizable for any bottle and is explained both inside the written pattern and the video tutorial. You will also need a 5mm crochet hook.

I hope you enjoy today’s tutorial and be sure to tag me @sigonimacaroni if you decide to make this pattern or any of the patterns in the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas series!

Using Natural,

Row 1: Ch 9, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch down row (7)

Rows 2-21: Ch 2, turn. Hdc BLO each st across (7)

Fold work in half, sl st rows together. Tie off, weave in ends.

(You may need to lessen the amount of rows if your bottle measures less than 10 inches – the band should fit snug around bottle)

Attach Kelly Green to side of band around any ch 2 space.

Round 1: Ch 1, sc 33 evenly around band, sl st to join

If your band is shorter, make sure you end up with more sc than the amount of rows for the band – at least 10 more to be safe
