February Review & March Goals

Sometimes I dread going back and looking at what I’ve accomplished the previous month especially when I know it wasn’t a very good month. Then again, that’s why I do it. To see what I’m doing right and what I’m doing wrong and what I should do to fix it! I encourage you to do the same in a notebook or even on your blog! Without further adieu, here is my February Review & March Goals.

At the beginning of February I said I was feeling down about my husband being gone and that February was going to be a much better month. Well, I lied. Kind of. It was a great month productivity wise, but there are so many other things I really need to work on in life. For instance, getting a cleaning schedule down and learning how to chill out and focus on ONE thing. I did accomplish a few goals though! AND MY HUSBAND IS COMING HOME AT THE END OF THE MONTH!

I’m trying my best to have a few posts scheduled to go out during that time, but if I’m absent here or on any of my social media accounts, that is definitely why! This is another reason why I have to make March really count! I’m finally beginning to realize where my priorities lie in the blogging world.

Oh, by the way, if you haven’t joined the Happy Hooker Instagram Challenge yet, click here to read more about it! It’s not too late to join in!

February Review & March Goals

February Review

1. Have 3 months of blog posts scheduled and drafted

I have this problem where I think I need to do everything all at once. Well, this month I’ve realized that I’m making myself fall behind by trying to do everything. If I continue this way, I’m going to keep overwhelming myself. That’s not good for anyone! Basically, no I did not achieve this goal because I was too worried about everything else. However, in March this is going to be my top priority.

2. Get myself a new camera

3. Put together an Instagram Challenge for March

4. Organize my office and set up a space for video recording

Eh, sorta kinda. I bought myself a new camera, new tripod, and new desk so I’m good to go there! Now I just need to organize the hell outta my craft room. Lucky for me, I just joined a 30 day craft room organization challenge! Wish me luck!

5. Go through little man’s clothes and donate

6. Go through MY clothes and donate

Check!

7. Finish a few pages and mail out the “Sisters” book

I did not do this, but I really need to soon!

8. Finish Reading my current favorite book!

Instead of making it a goal to finish, I’m going to make it a goal to finish two chapters because they’re pretty lengthy. So no I did not complete this goal, but I did read a chapter.

March Goals

  1. Focus on one thing at a time!
  2. Officially start my Youtube Channel (eeek!)
  3. Hopefully host a successful Instagram Challenge that everyone will love and have fun with!
  4. Draft posts through April. For real this time! I need to get as much pre-scheduled as I can so that I can spend as much time with the hubby without worrying as much about the blog. And if I’m really motivated, through May also!
  5. Design two crochet patterns
  6. Start a second Instagram account in order to separate crochet with other types of photography that I enjoy.
  7. Buy my son another Preschool writing book. He has been doing SO well when it comes to tracing his lines. I’m crazy impressed.
  8. Have the craft room organized.
  9. Clean out the garage.
  10. Figure out a better skin care routine
  11. Get more organized in all aspects of life. Hopefully I can achieve this by first organizing the craft room.

There you have it! That was my February Review & March Goals! I hope March goes better than January and February did! Wish me luck!

Also, I wanted to remind you that March is National Crochet Month!! Throughout March I’m going to be sharing a lot of fun facts about crochet across all of my social media accounts.

  1. Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

    1. Thank you! If you are planning on creating a blog as a hobby, then I would go with a free platform such as WordPress.com.

If you are interested in making an income with your blog one day then I 100% recommend going with a self hosted platform for sure. I recommend Bluehost to host your platform. That is who I use and I’ve never had a problem. You can sign up or find more information here: https://www.bluehost.com/track/sigonimacaroni/ (aff link) I’ll be posting a guide soon on how to get started!
