Limitless Crochet everyday

With crochet, the possibilities are endless. Throughout 2021, Limitless Crochet Everyday will teach you how to become a better crocheter with new techniques, stitches, and free patterns to go along with them. Crochet is an anxiety reducer for many of us and after a long and stressful 2020 year, I think this is exactly what we need.

GETTING STARTED

1. How it works

First things first, everything about Limitless Crochet Everyday is completely free.

The Limitless Crochet Everyday project consists of monthly themes for all of 2021 where we will dive into that theme all month long, learning loads of new things along the way.

Every Sunday morning I will send out an email with tips and tutorials around the topic for that week. Exciting, right? The monthly themes will be a surprise, but I will tell you that we’re starting off with the basics for the first month.

If you’re fairly new to crochet, this topic will help you further understand the basics, but even if you’ve been crocheting for a while I guarantee you will still learn a thing or two!

Each monthly theme aims to teach you how to further improve your crochet skills.

2. Sign up for the newsletter

If you’re new to the Limitless Crochet Everyday project, be sure to sign up for the newsletter so that you receive each new topic as they come out.

3. Visit sigonimacaroni.com/limitless-crochet-2021-archives

When you’re ready to start learning, visit the Limitless Crochet Everyday archive page. A new topic will be posted every Sunday morning CST. You will have all week to read through everything we talked about and on Friday morning, I’ll be releasing a new free pattern starting in February.

4. Check out the tutorials

I create additional content and tutorials for each monthly theme as often as I can, and will send them in the weekly newsletters.

Visit the archives page or the Sigoni Macaroni blog to take a look at past tutorials to pick up some new tricks and tips. Subscribe to the Sigoni Macaroni YouTube channel to be the first to know when I release a new tutorial.

5. Join the community

I created the Facebook Group, The Crochet’dy Bunch as a space for those who love crochet and always want to learn more through the Limitless Crochet Everyday project. This is a place where we connect, share work, get your questions answered, and support each other. I hope you’ll join us!

WHERE TO BEGIN

Depending on when you come across the Limitless Crochet Everyday project, we could have quite a few monthly topics already completed. If you’re just joining us in the middle of the year, you can go through all the archives and start from the very beginning. You can also hop on the train with us and learn as we go! I’ve archived every Limitless Crochet Everyday email on the Sigoni Macaroni blog and all of the topics from 2021 can be found here.

If you start at the beginning, you’ll learn more of the basics first and move into more advanced patterns and techniques. But if you jump in now, with the current topics being sent out, you’ll experience learning about the same topics as the rest of the Limitless Crochet Everyday community and that aspect of peer support – however, questions about any stage of the LCE project are more than welcome any time!

Post your projects and practice swatches to Instagram with the hashtag #limitlesscrochet2021 (the hashtag is also a great way to see how everyone else is learning!) and in The Crochet’dy Bunch // Limitless Crochet Everyday Facebook Group.

More than anything I encourage you to use these tools to be creative, take on projects outside your comfort zone, and share this craft with as many people as you can. Crochet can be life-changing (it was for me!) so let’s share it with the world.

Remember that there is no right or wrong way. Challenge yourself and have fun!

ESTABLISHING THE HABIT

If crochet is something you love to do, you have to make time for it. 24 hours is not enough time in a day… I complain about this all the time. But if crochet is something that makes you happy, reduces your stress or anxiety levels, then you need to make the time. Self-care is one of the most important things in life. If we aren’t taking care of ourselves, then how do we expect to take care of everyone else?

Even if it’s just 30 minutes a day, that’s 30 minutes of relaxation. And if you’re looking to become a better crocheter, the more time you spend crocheting, the better you’ll become.
